In order to promote academic exchanges in the field of vascular surgery in China, to promote the development of the specialty, and to strengthen the ties between the medical communities across the Taiwan Strait, the “CEC-15th Anniversary Special Edition” Academic Forum and the 2023 Annual Academic Conference of Vascular Surgery Branch of Cross-Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association will be held on November 3-4, 2023, with live online broadcasting. The conference will be held on November 3-4, 2023 in the form of online live broadcast.
In order to promote China's vascular surgery specialty to meet international standards, strengthen international academic exchanges and cooperation, and promote the development of the discipline, CEC has opened international special sessions for many years. Since 2017, CEC and LINC have joined forces to carry out in-depth cooperation. On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of CEC, CEC once again invited LINC to hold a special session on “LINC@CEC - Challenging Endoluminal Treatment of Lower Extremity Arterial Occlusion”, which focuses on new technologies, research and strategies for the diagnosis and treatment of complex lower extremity arterial lesions. and new strategies. In addition, as a special feature of LINC, live surgery will also appear in the LINC@CEC session.
LINC@CEC brings together experts in the field of lower limb arterial diagnosis and treatment from China, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Singapore, giving international, advanced and cutting-edge technology and conceptual support around endoluminal intervention for complex lower limb arterial occlusive lesions. This special academic activity especially showed a challenging popliteal artery complex occlusive lesion and a challenging below-knee occlusion intervention from the University Hospital of Leipzig, Germany, which demonstrated the whole process of diagnosis and treatment of the real cases, and helped the clinicians to make the best decision and successfully complete the surgery.
This academic event invited Prof. Chen Zhong from Beijing Anzhen Hospital of Capital Medical University, Prof. Guo Wei from the First Medical Center of General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and Prof. Fu Weiguo from Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University to be the chairmen of the meeting on behalf of the CEC, and Prof. Dierk Scheinert from Leipzig University Hospital of Leipzig, Germany to be the chairmen of the meeting on behalf of the LINC, and Prof. Liang Wei and Prof. Liang Wei from Renji Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Prof. Liang Wei from Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and Prof. Ysa August, Consultant in Vascular Surgery and Vascular Intervention from Hospital de Cruces Barakaldo, Spain were invited as discussants. We also invited Prof. Andrej Schmidt from University Hospital Leipzig, Germany, to present a case of challenging popliteal artery complex lesion and a case of challenging below-knee occlusion intervention with live broadcast surgical treatment, and Prof. Koen Deloose from A.Z. St-Blasius Hospital, Dendermonde, Belgium, to share “Innovative Application of Woven Stent SUPERA in the Field of CFA”. Prof. Steven Kum, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore, shared “LIFE-BTK Study Update” and Prof. Sheng Wang, Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Capital Medical University, shared “In-Stent Restenosis Treatment of Femoropopliteal Artery”. It is believed that the high quality platform built by CEC and LINC will help clinicians to deal with challenging lower limb arterial occlusive lesions and benefit more patients.
Please look forward to this exciting event.
